Youngstown native Larry Jones out as TV Land president


According to the Hollywood Reporter, Larry Jones, a Youngstown native, and is out as TV Land president.

The move is seen as part of Viacom's major corporate restructuring expected to be unveiled later this week, according to the Reporter.

In a statement, Jones said: "It’s truly not an overstatement to say that I have loved every second of being at TV Land for the past 18 years as part of my 27 years with Viacom. With that said, due to the restructuring, I will be stepping down from my role with the company."

"This has been so much more than a job to me and as I have often said to all of you, I always felt we were on a mission ... a mission to be successful, to be creative and to make something that we could all be unapologetically proud of each and every day," Jones said.

The Hollywood Reporter said Jones helped not only launch the network, but was also instrumental in its entry into original scripted programming. He first Viacom in 1988.
