Canfield GOP women host guest speaker
Lauren Johnson was guest speaker when Canfield Republican Women’s Club hosted its monthly luncheon.
A recent graduate of Patrick Henry College, Johnson is a Youngstown native. A political theory major, she plans to run for the 7th Ward Seat.

The club will meet at 6 p.m. March 4 at A La Carte in Canfield with guest speaker, Judge Shirley Christian.
YWCA plans dance-a-thon March 7
YOUNGSTOWN
Put on your boogie shoes and participate in the YWCA of Youngstown’s first-ever dance-a-thon from 4 to 9 p.m. March 7 at its site, 25 W. Rayen Ave. There will be four one-hour non-stop dance sessions interspersed with performances by professionals and cultural dance groups. Registration deadline is Feb. 24.
Participants may sign up as a team captain and form their own team. A team may be two or more people. Team captains must be 18 years old; the event is open to those 8 and older. Individuals and spectators are welcome.
There will be prizes, dance-a-thon T-shirts, refreshments and raffles. Cost is $15 for team captain and members, $20 individual registration and $8, spectator.
