Updated forecast calls for less snow today; wind chills to hit minus 14

This morning's updated forecast from the National Weather Service calls for lesser amounts of snowfall than originally forecast throughout the Mahoning Valley today. Bone-chilling cold is expected tonight.

A winter weather advisory, however, remains in effect until noon today.

Expect rain and snow and some freezing rain during the overnight hours. Little or no additional snow accumulation is expected. Additional ice accumulation around a trace. Lows around 20. Southeast winds around 10 mph...Becoming south. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Cloudy with a possible one-inch additional snow accumulation through the day today. Cooler with highs around 20. Temperature falling to around 12 in the afternoon. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent. Wind chill values as low as 3 below.

Mostly cloudy tonight with a chance of flurries in the evening. Then partly cloudy after midnight. Much colder with lows around 2 below. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill values as low as 14 below.
