Fushimi Sushi Bar and Restaurant opened its doors on Oct. 23 in Boardman. The owners of Pho Saigon work to expand their business by opening another restaurant.
Owner, Xiao Wang, has been working on running Fushimi while his wife, Annie Li, has been keeping everything under control at Pho Saigon. The restaurant previously in the Fushimi building had closed and Wang took the opportunity to remodel it and make the environment cool and relaxing for the guests of Fushimi.
When Fushimi opened, Wang wanted the commercial to star some of their guests from the area. Wang posted on their website that if anyone was interested in being in a commercial for the new restaurant to come in during a certain time and day. There was a great outcome allowing the commercial to showcase how updated the restaurant was and how it attracted many people.
“The strawberry field roll is the most popular item. It is what people order the most,” said Wang. This roll consists of crab meat, tempura shrimp, avocado and strawberries. The food items are delicately made and are appealing to the eye. There is a range of dishes to choose from, desserts to sushi to hibachi.
While Wang works to make Fushimi run as smoothly as he can, he still tries his best to keep Pho Saigon in order. Having two restaurants is a lot to take care of, but Wang says showing his food to everyone he can is something he aspires to do.
