FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted to continue the program.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up beginning at noon. This is the last sale before the holidays. Sales resume Jan. 8.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed between 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. This is the last sale of the year.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6.50 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. This is the last sale of the year; they will resume Jan. 8.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome. This is the last day of pirogi sales and lunches for the year.

SATURDAY

St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church , 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, will have a St. Nicholas Bake Shop from noon to 2 p.m. There will be an assortment of cookies and trays, kolachi, strudel, pagachi, soups and homemade candies.

Western Reserve Masonic Lodge, 216 E. Main St., West Farmington, will have a spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The meal includes salad, bread, pie, coffee and lemonade. The cost is $7 for adults, $4.50 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under.

SUNDAY

Fowler Fire Department will serve its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, 3386 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Fowler. Prices are $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors, $4.50 for children and free for preschoolers.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 will sponsor a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Beverages also will be served. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. There will be a 50-50 and a 2015 Chevy Cruze raffle. Car raffle tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea. The breakfast is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary.

TAKING ORDERS

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, is taking orders for Croatian chicken noodle soup and Italian wedding soup until Dec. 23 at 330-799-0914. The cost is $6 per quart; pickup is from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 30.
