WARREN — Six people were charged with felony offenses after they were apprehended among about 70 people riding four-wheelers and motorcycles on the street Sunday afternoon while disobeying traffic laws and refusing to stop for police.
They were also spotted driving through Niles and Liberty, according to a Warren police report.
The six people arrested at around 6 p.m. were all from the Akron and Cleveland area. They were taken into custody near the Trumbull Career and Technical Center in Champion. Warren Township and Champion Township police, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, took part in the arrests.
The riders were first spotted at the Sheetz gas station on state Route 46 in Howland. They were chased along Route 46 toward the Eastwood Mall and continued west on U.S. Route 422 into Warren and then north on state Route 45 to Champion.
