Auto salesman accused in theft of money

A Youngstown man faces a felony theft charge after he was arrested on a warrant early Wednesday.

Charged is Robert Petrovich, 43, of Auburndale Avenue.

The charge stems from allegations that Petrovich stole $850 in June from Southwoods Auto Sales on South Avenue while he was employed as a salesman there.

The business owner told police that Petrovich took cash from customers for down payments and deposits, and kept some of it for himself. 

He is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Thursday.
