Lace Up campaign

BOARDMAN

Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and Go4TheGoal are teaming up in the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign to raise money and draw attention to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Sales of gold shoelaces will support the Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, benefiting infants, children, teens and young adults battling cancer in Northeast Ohio.

Each pair of laces costs $5 with 100 percent of the profits supporting Akron Children’s. Students and their schools can get involved with no upfront cost. Schools or teams can designate a particular game to “Lace Up” and collect donations from tickets and/or concessions.

Last year, nearly 5,000 young people throughout Northeast Ohio laced up and raised $25,000.

To get started, contact Nate Mulber at natemulberg@go4thegoal.org or 856-979-8384.
