Lowellville Board of Education appointed board member Lisa Donofrio as the district’s delegate to the annual business meeting of the Ohio School Boards Association on Nov. 9 in Columbus. In the event that Donofrio cannot attend, the board appointed board President Robert Zackasee as alternate. The OSBA includes representatives from 715 school boards throughout Ohio.
Additionally, the board approved two five-year depository contracts between the district and local banks. The district will enter into agreements with Huntington National Bank and Farmers National Bank, beginning today and ending on Aug. 20, 2020. The board also authorized business credit cards with Farmers National Bank for four district employees — Superintendant Eugene Thomas, Treasurer Greg Slemons, Principal Christine Sawicki and teacher and operations manager Richard Popio.
