Traffic stop yields stolen gun, drugs, city police say


YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a stolen handgun on a man who was pulled over about 10:20 p.m. Sunday for running a red light at Parkwood and Idlewood avenues.

Jeffrey Fuller, 22, of Goldie Road, is in the Mahoning County jail on charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs.

Reports said the loaded .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun was found in Fuller's pants after he told police he had a gun. Inside the car he was driving police found a pill and a bag of cocaine, reports said.
