UPDATE | Judge's ruling opens new documents in Larosa case

WARREN

Judge Sandra Stabile Harwood has denied the motion of a defense attorney to close all of the records in the Jacob Larosa murder case in Trumbull County Juvenile Court.

Larosa is charged in the death of Marie Belcastro, 94, of Cherry Street in NIles.

With the records in the case open, The Vindicator obtained additional documents this morning that give additional information about the allegations against Larosa.

Among them is information about liquor bottles mentioned by a neighbor of Larosa's.

Police said they believe liquor bottles were taken from Belcastro's basement, and the neighbor's surveillance video shows Larosa carrying what appear to be liquor bottles the afternoon of March 31, when Belcastro died.

Blood was also found on Larosa's clothing, body and glasses, but an examination later at a hospital indicated he had no injuries.
