STRUTHERS

Vinny Lucente threw a no-hitter for Ursuline, striking out six Struthers hitters. Alex Schlosser, Logan Pullin and Vito Penza each had two hits for the Irish (9-3).

St. Vincent-St. Mary 5, Cardinal Mooney 3

STRUTHERS

Jack Lynch allowed three earned runs and struck out one to take the loss for Cardinal Mooney.

Austintown Fitch 9, Canfield 6

CANFIELD

Tommy James had two hits and three RBIs for the Falcons (8-9, 5-3 All-American Conference Red). Pat Gerberry contributed two hits and two RBIs, and Nick Bianco had two hits and two RBIs. Jordan Kurm and Dom Difrancesco also had two hits. Brian Beany gained the mound victory for Fitch. For Canfield (11-7, 6-2), Mike Sebes’s three hits included a triple and double. Ryan Cheslik and Joey Machuga each had two hits.

Howland 14, Edgewood 1

HOWLAND

Jackson Deemer had three hits and four RBIs and Josh Shver had two hits and two RBIs for the Tigers. Nate Leventis pitched five innings with nine strikeouts.

Hubbard 13, Liberty 1

HUBBARD

Drew Bencetic pitched four shutout innings with six strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple at the plate to lead Hubbard over Liberty. Brett Lopuchovsky went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Zach Hover had an RBI double for the Eagles (8-7). Chris Fiorenzo walked and scored on a wild pitch for the Leopards lone run.

Niles 12, Brookfield 2

NILES

Jaret Johnson went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored and Murphy Miller went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored. Brandon Weida gave up four hits and struck out seven to earn the win for the Red Dragons. Brian Hiner went 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Warriors.

Springfield 16, LaBrae 4

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Hunter Snyder had a double and home run with 4 RBIs to lead the Tigers. JT Wolke had two hits for the Rams.

Beaver Local 8, Lisbon 6

LISBON

Chase Wilcox had two hits, two runs scored two RBIs for the Beavers. Bryce McKensie and Josh Beck also scored twice. For the Blue Devils, M. French drove in two runs while Nick Barnes and B. McCullough had two hits each.

Columbiana 9, Southern 6

SALINEVILLE

Mitch Davidson had three hits and drove in four runs for the Clippers (12-8, 8-0 Inter Tri-County League White). D. Davin also had three hits while Devin Rice had two. Jake Clark was the winning pitcher.

Lowellville 3, Mineral Ridge 1

STRUTHERS

At Cene Park, Joe Micco had a hit and a RBI, Geno Fraticelli had two hits and one RBI for the Rockets. Alec Ozman picked up the win for the Rockets.

Western Reserve 11, Leetonia 6

BERLIN CENTER

Western Reserve busted out for 10 runs in the first three innings to cruise past Leetonia. Walker Marlowe and Jacob Clark each scored three runs for the Blue Devils (14-3, 7-1 ITCL Blue). Lance Dezee recorded eight strikeouts to pick up his second win on the mound. The Bears (4-9) outhit the Blue Devils 10-5.

Mathews 11, Grand Valley 3

VIENNA

Brian Leipply picked up the win and drove in three runs with a double and triple for Mathews (8-3). Kevin Ellsworth had two hits for Grand Valley (6-7).

SOFTBALL

West Branch 11, Ursuline 2

BELOIT

Jeni Stewart and Kylie Coffelt each had three hits for the Warriors (11-4) while Bailey Byers drove in two runs with her two hits. Dani Lough had two doubles and Kelsey Byers hit a two-run double. For the Irish (9-7), Stephanie Ohalek’s two hits included a double.

Sierra Pierce’s four hits included a triple and she drove in three runs for the Falcons (8-5, 5-2 AAC Red). Julia McMenamin had three hits while Julia Delbene’s two hits included a double. Maddie Everhart also had two hits. For Lakeside (1-15, 0-8), Toni Stranman doubled.

Columbiana 3, Howland 2

HOWLAND

Madison Macklin went seven innings and gave up seven hits for the Clippers. Madison Roessler had two hits and a RBI while Navi Kaur had the go-ahead two-run single for the Clippers (17-0). Sara Price had two singles for the Tigers (9-7).

Poland 8, LaBrae 0

POLAND

Amanda Wire had three hits and three RBIs, Claire Testa had a hit and two RBIs and Chloe Bush had two hits for the Bulldogs. Haley Davies had three hits for the Vikings.

Struthers 9, Niles 2

NILES

A six-run seventh inning propelled Struthers past Niles. Preshus Brown had an RBI triple and stole home in the inning. Julia Neifer added a two-run double and Khaylah Brown had a two-run single for the Wildcats. Dana Wilkos allowed one earned run and struck out five for the win.

Lakeview 7, Hubbard 5

Emma Wukelich and Addy Jarvis each had two hits as Lakeview.

Western Reserve 15, Leetonia 1

BERLIN CENTER

Aleah Hughes stuck out 11 over five innings and had two singles for Western Reserve. Jenny Stubbs, Torry White and Alexis Miller each had two hits for the Blue Devils (9-5, ITCL Blue 7-1). Maddie Krietzburg also had a double as part of a 12-hit night for Western Reserve.

McDonald 14, Campbell 0

CAMPBELL

Cheyenne Titus and Rachel Ward combined for a no-hitter for the Blue Devils. Olivia Sampson went 4-for-4 with a home run and Kerrign McDermott had a home-run with three RBIs for the Blue Devils (9-3).

Mineral Ridge 13, Lowellville 3

LOWELLVILLE

Allie Watkins had three hits, including a home run, and six RBIs to lead Mineral Ridge past Lowellville. Darby Kolesar allowed four hits, struck out 10, and walked only one for the win. Macey Garland also had four hits for the Rams (6-4). Grace Sotlar was charged with the loss with six strikeouts and two walks.

LISBON

Courtney Messenger tossed a two-hit shutout and contributed two hits and a RBI on offense. Dakota Heaton also had two hits. H. Hiscox and A. Gresh had the hits for the Blue Devils.

Windham 10, Maplewood 0

CORTLAND

Brittany Knight tossed a perfect game for the Bombers. She also had three hits. Sabrina Garl drove in two runs while Page Frazee and Madi Kilgore each had a double.
