AUSTINTOWN

Kevin Martin, lead singer of the band Candlebox, will headline a free acoustic concert Tuesday at Harley-Davidson Biketown, which also will include an acoustic set from Bobby Amaru, lead singer of Saliva.

Biketown is on Interstate Boulevard, off state Route 44 just south of the Interstate 80 interchange.

Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved at BallyhooTickets2.com.

The concert is part of the Cinco de Mayo celebration at the shop. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the concert at 7.

Candlebox is known for the hit songs “Far Behind” and “You.”

Local guitarist Mike Kermec, of Perfect Pair, will open the concert with his Grunge All-Stars, a group of area singers who will each accompany Kermec for a few songs each — all grunge tunes from the 1990s.

The singers include Jimmy Shaffer from Green Beans; John Yuhas, formerly of Leddfoot; David Walker of 3SB; Daniel Butch of Haymaker; Steven Cvetkovich of Remains of Jade (with Michael Chomos of Remains of Jade playing acoustic bass); Lea Nesbitt of Guys Without Ties; BJ Lisko of Turbo Lovers; Todd Kaden of Asleep; Frankie Hunkus of Radio Pulse; and Jason “Jay Byrd” Murphy and Pete Dohar of Wet Lemon. Closing the performance will be vocalist Ashley Miller of Perfect Pair.
