Woman jailed for aggravated arson after starting fire

YOUNGSTOWN — A Bentley Avenue woman is in the Mahoning County jail after her arraignment in municipal court today on an aggravated arson charge.

Linda Bray, 55, is accused of barricading the door of a 124 New York Ave. apartment on April 9 with a large pile of clothes and setting the clothes on fire.

A tenant put the fire out in the 12-unit apartment building. The tenant said he was Bray's ex-boyfriend. He waited till April 14 to call police because he wanted to find out where Bray lived before he called them, reports said.
