Orchestra director will be commencement speaker

YOUNGSTOWN

Randall Craig Fleischer, music director of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, will be the commencement speaker for the spring class of graduates of Youngstown State University’s College of Creative Arts and Communications, Bitonte College of Health and Human Services, and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. May 16 in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus.

Fleischer, who took over as music director of the orchestra in 2007, will receive an honorary doctorate degree in music at the ceremony.
