Man jailed after high speed chase

YOUNGSTOWN

Michael Campy, 43, of South Avenue is in the Mahoning County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested following a high speed chase early today on the South Side.

Reports said officers tried to pull over a stolen car Campy was driving on Hillman Avenue about 3:20 a.m. and he refused to pull over until he stopped at a home in the 500 block of East Indianola.

Campy ran away but was caught in a nearby back yard. Inside the car officers found two crack pipes and two syringes and a dose of crack cocaine inside a cigarette pack Campy threw away when he ran, according to a report.
