YOUNGSTOWN
The Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association will meet Thursday evening at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. for a social and refreshments and the business meeting starts at 6:30.
Speakers from Youngstown City Code Enforcement Division will explain the violation and prosecution process. Councilman John R. Swierz, D-7th, also will be in attendance to speak about issues and events concerning the neighborhood.
The organization also announced several events in May:
There will be the neighborhood cleanup on Sheridan Boulevard, the Lynn Park flower bed, and Bancroft Commons on May 9. Volunteers are to meet at Faith Community Church at 9 a.m. for assignments and supplies. A light breakfast will be provided. The cleanup will last until noon and lunch will be provided afterward at the church.
The second annual car show will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. May 17 in the parking lot of Faith Community Church. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to attend. There will be prizes, food, a 50/50 raffle, and music. In case of rain, no rain date has been set.
On May 30, the organization will be refreshing mulch from 9 a.m. until noon in most of their neighborhood’s beautification projects. Volunteers are asked to meet at Faith Community Church at 9 a.m. for instructions and a light breakfast. Lunch will provided at noon.
