YOUNGSTOWN — A vacant home on the East Side was destroyed in a fire late Thursday evening.
Crews were called to 1036 Berkley Ave. about 10:15 p.m. and found the home engulfed in flames. Firefighters allowed the home to burn down and protected neighboring homes, reports said.
Damage is listed at $8,000. There were no injuries. The cause is listed as arson.
