Boardman Center girls compete at Howland

The Boardman Center girls track team competed at Howland Middle School on April 15 and finished with a score of 36.5. Ashley Saxton took first place in girls long jump, Alicia Saxton first place and Keimanni Boyd took third in 100 Meter Hurdles, Alexa Ghossain fifth for 100 meter dash, Salina Jackson, Jennah Markovitch, Alexa Ghossain and Alicia Saxton first place for 4x200 Meter Relay, Lily Essad fourth for 200-meter hurdles, Jersey Gorby fifth for shot put and Carina Cummings took third for high jump.

Glenwood girls track finishes fourth

The Boardman Glenwood girls track team finished in fourth place in their meet on April 15 in Poland. Kaylin Burkey came in first place in the high jump and third place in the 200-meter hurdles. Sophia McGee came in first place in the long jump. Mary Garrett came in fourth place in the 200-meter hurdles and Ali Williams came in fourth place in the discus.

Glenwood boy’s track finish third

The Glenwood boy’s track team finished third in their meet at Poland on April 15. Blake Courtis had a great meet as he finished second in the 100 and 200-meter races. Nick Torres had a strong performance as well as he took first in the long jump, second in the 200-meter hurdles, and third in the high jump. The 4x200 relay team of Blake Courtis, Tyler Wymer, Greg Leonardo and Manny Perez came in second place and Nikitas Missos finished the scoring for the boys with a first place finish in the shot put.

The weather is getting warmer and it’s now spring sports season. Neighbors wants to be there every step of the way. If you’re a spring sports coach or the parent of an athlete, we need you help. In order to get teams and players the recognition they deserve, we want to showcase them in our pages. We can only do that if you commit to sending us game reports and photos each week. If you send it, it will get in.
