Renowned black violinist performs today in Warren


WARREN — The YWCA Warren, 375 N. Park Ave., today will host renowned violinist Jerald Daemyon at 3 and 5 p.m.

A trailblazing black violinist, he will perform for children and youth in the YWCA’s After School Child Care and Mentoring programs as part of their Stand Against Racism curriculum.

At a later public event at 5:30 p.m., the YWCA will screen selections from the film “Hidden Colors 3: The Rules of Racism.” The event will include a community conversation, to be moderated by Erik Boyd, leader of the Students of True African History group. It is free and open to the public.
