Campbell fire officials were able to turn off natural gas that filled up a rental home after a neighbor smelled the gas.

Crews were called to 317 Sanderson Avenue at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. The house had been vandalized; copper pipe had been removed. A fire official said a new tenant was to move into the residence next week.

The gas was shut off, and Dominion East Ohio capped the pipes for future repairs.
