Camera catches Pa. day care operator molesting girls

BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police say a security camera caught a western Pennsylvania man molesting children at the day care facility he and his wife ran out of their home.

A judge watched the video Tuesday and ruled there’s sufficient evidence to send 66-year-old Roger Young to trial on charges of indecent assault and corrupting the morals of minors.

Prosecutors say Young molested three girls in 2010 and 2011 at Patti Cake Childcare Center in Butler. They were 3 and 4 years old at the time.

Trooper Joshua Anderson testified the videos showed Young touching the girls’ genitals through their clothing, having them touch his genitals and other illicit conduct.

Young remains free on $50,000 unsecured bond.
