US Marshals find drugs on man at South Side parking lot


YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force found 55 pills, suspected cocaine and heroin and about $970 cash from a man they were arresting on an aggravated-burglary warrant about 4 p.m. Monday in a 3211 South Ave. parking lot.

Barry Scott Wallace, 21, of Lowell Avenue, was taken to the Mahoning County jail on the warrant as well as charges of possession of drugs, possession of drugs/heroin and possession of drugs/cocaine.

Wallace was a passenger in a car spotted by task force members who knew he was wanted, reports said. Reports said Wallace had the drugs hidden in a bag in his groin. The money was in his pockets.
