Phantoms LIVE/ Youngstown wins 4-2


— In a must-win game for the home team, the Youngstown Phantoms defeated the Muskegon Lumberjacks 4-2 in Game 2 at the Covelli Centre. The best-of-five series is even at 1-1.

In the second period, Kyle Connor scored on a tip-in pass from Kiefer Sherwood to snap a 1-1 tie. A few minutes later, Josh Nenadal's second goal of the game made it 3-1.

The Lumberjacks responded with Matt Iacopelli's second goal of the game, this one capping a breakaway from center ice.

The Phantoms have a 24-19 edge in shots.

Just 3:44 into Game 2, Muskegon took a 1-0 lead when Iacopelli's long wrist shot eluded Phantoms goaltender Colin DeAugustine.

Midway through the first period, Nenadal tied the game by slapping the puck off the near goal post and into the net. From behind the goal, Chase Pearson fed the puck to Nenadal just inside the faceoff circle to set up the point-blank shot.

In the final minute, the Connor scored an empty-net goal on a power play.
