COLUMBIANA

Mitch Davidson threw a one-hitter over five innings as the Clippers (6-5, 3-0 ITCL White) stayed unbeaten in league play. Davidson walked one and struck out three. Austin Saverko doubled, walked and drove in three runs for Columbiana. Tim Davin had two hits and two RBIs and Dylan Davin also drove in two runs.

East Palestine 7, Jackson-Milton 4

EAST PALESTINE

Ricky Pelischak went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, while also picking up the win on the mound for East Palestine. Pelischak struck out six over three innings without allowing a run. Blaze Chamberlain tripled and two runs scored for the Bulldogs (6-3, 2-2). Eric Ostrozski went 3-for-4 and scored once for Jackson-Milton (7-2).

SOFTBALL

Cardinal Mooney 12, Brookfield 3

BROOKFIELD

Bridget Sweeney and Kelly Williams homered and the Cardinals erased a 2-1 deficit with a five-run third and six-run fourth in a game shortened to five innings by rain. Sweeney also singled and doubled and Britany Hendricks, Sydney Kocher, Adriana Popovich and Kayla Rutherford each had two hits. Williams, Sweeney and Rutherford each had two RBIs for Cardinal Mooney (5-1). Rutherford struck out six and scattered four hits to improve to 4-1. McKenzie Drapola had two of them for Brookfield (4-4).
