Pair face prostitution charges after incident on the South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman with five previous convictions for prostitution dating back to 2002 faces more charges as does as a man police said picked her up about 2:05 a.m. Wednesday at Delason and Overland Avenues on the South Side.

Tara Clemons, 39, of Eastway Avenue, was cited for soliciting and impending the flow of traffic.

Tasha Johnson, 36, was cited for loitering to engage in solicitation and was taken to the Mahoning County jail on a larceny warrant from county court in Boardman.

At the jail, officers found a crack pipe in the cruiser where Johnson was sitting and an additional charge of possession of drug abuse instruments was added.
