Guilty plea in Struthers Manor murder


YOUNGSTOWN — A 41-year-old man will serve 20 years in prison after pleading guilty this afternoon to the murder of a man at the Struthers Manor.

Roy Cleary, 41, pleaded guilty to charges of murder and aggravated robbery for the death of Mark Westfall, 56, who died after being stabbed several times in his apartment.

Cleary will receive a sentence of 15 years to life for murder, which is the maximum sentence for murder. He will also receive an additional five years for the aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors said the motive for the murder was prescription drugs that Westfall had that Cleary had.
