ABOUT MS

Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.

Most people with MS are diagnosed between age 20 and 50.

Two to three times more women than men are diagnosed with the disease.

Symptoms range from fatigue, numbness and weakness to total paralysis.

More than 20,000 Ohioans are affected by MS.

MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.
