YOUNGSTOWN

A shooting in a home in the 2000 block of Shady Run Road about 8:10 a.m. today happened after an argument between a house guest and the owner, police say.

Chief of Detectives Capt. Brad Blackburn said Lenzie Morgan, 49, and his wife were allowing a guest, Paul Kerr, 48, to stay in the home but they argued with Kerr and he shot Morgan.

Blackburn said Kerr, whose last known address is in Struthers, then left, but police are not sure how he got away.

Morgan is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center, police said.

Blackburn said police are looking for Kerr and want to hear his side of the story.

A Summit Academy school nearby was placed on lockdown but the lockdown was lifted later this morning.
