Cited for fight

YOUNGSTOWN

Two women, one of them six months pregnant, were cited for misdemeanor assault after a fight in a South Side driveway.

Police were called to the 700 block of Detroit Avenue about 12:35 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fight with a gun. When they arrived, they found Cheree Moore, 35, of East Boston Avenue and Amanda Perry, 24, of Samuel Street in the drive between two parked cars.

Before officers could say anything, reports said, Perry punched Moore, and the two began fighting. Eventually, officers were able to separate the women. Both women were issued citations and released. Perry was taken by ambulance to a hospital to be checked because of her pregnancy.

The home is listed as vacant but reports said that at the same time firefighters were dispatched, police also were called for a report of shots fired at the house, and they found bullet holes in the walls.
