TAX ISSUES VOTERS WILL FACE IN NOVEMBER ELECTION

Tax issues on the Nov. 4 ballot in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

MAHONING COUNTY

Mahoning County Issue 1: A 0.5-percent, five-year sales and use tax renewal and a 0.25-percent, five-year additional sales and use tax to raise about $24 million annually.

Mahoning County Issue 2: A 1.85-mill, five-year replacement tax for children services to raise $7,633,352 annually.

Mahoning County Issue 3: A 1.8-mill renewal and a 0.6-mill additional tax for five years for maintenance and operation of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County to raise $9,352,893 annually. [A 1-mill levy will expire and be replaced by the 0.6-mill levy.]

Austintown Township: A 0.6-mill, five-year renewal levy for current expenses to raise $156,285 annually.

Beaver Township: A 1-mill, five-year renewal for fire services to raise $86,027 annually.

Beaver Township: A 3.6-mill, five-year renewal levy for police services to raise $537,960 annually.

Boardman Township: A 2.5-mill, five-year renewal levy for current expenses to raise $1,931,697 annually.

Boardman Township: A 0.3-mill, five-year renewal levy for road and bridge work to raise $119,211 annually.

Cardinal Joint Fire District: A 1.25-mill additional levy for a continuous time for operating expenses to raise $627,854 annually.

Craig Beach Village: A 3-mill, five -year additional levy for current expenses to raise $58,858 annually.

Milton Township: A 1-mill, five-year additional levy for fire services to raise $85,864 annually.

Poland Village: A 3.2-mill, five-year renewal levy for current expenses to raise $176,129 annually.

Springfield Township: A 1-mill, five-year renewal levy for fire services to raise $117,883 annually.

Springfield Township: A 1-mill, five-year renewal levy for police services to raise $117,883 annually.

Western Reserve Joint Fire District: A 0.8-mill, 5-year renewal levy for fire services to raise $160,831 annually.

Boardman Schools: A 3.9-mill, three-year renewal levy for emergency requirements to raise $3,178,231 annually.

Campbell Schools: A 14.4-mill, five-year renewal levy for emergency requirements to raise $989,711 annually.

Jackson-Milton Schools: A 1.8-mill,five-year renewal levy to avoid an operating deficit to raise $383,088 annually.

South Range Schools: A 3.9-mill, 10-year additional levy for emergency requirements to raise $707,560 annually.

Springfield Schools: A 1-percent, five-year income tax renewal to raise $2,020,000 annually.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

Trumbull County: A 1-mill, 10-year renewal levy for operation of the alcohol and drug-addiction programs and mental-health programs supported by the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board to raise $3,344,282 annually.

Trumbull Career and Technical Center School District: A 2.4-mill, 10-year renewal levy for current expenses to raise $6,029,023 annually.

Trumbull County Children Services: A 0.8-mill, 10-year renewal levy for operation of the Children Services agency to raise $2,741,363 annually.

Bazetta Township: A 0.4-mill, five-year, replacement levy for current expenses to raise $56,854 annually.

Bazetta Township: A 1-mill, five-year additional levy to maintain and operate cemeteries to raise $142,134 annually.

Brookfield Township: A 2-mill, five-year renewal levy for police protection to raise $247,515 annually.

Champion Township: A 0.5-mill five-year renewal levy for police protection to raise $63,920 annually.

Girard: A 3-mill, five-year renewal levy for fire protection to raise $335,436 annually.

Kinsman Township: A 2-mill, five-year renewal levy for roads and bridges to raise $34,741 annually.

Liberty Township: A 1.5-mill, five-year renewal levy for fire protection to raise $319,544 annually.

McDonald Village: A 1.5-mill, five-year renewal levy for current operating expenses to raise $27,142 annually.

McKinley Memorial Library, Niles: A 1.75-mill, continuous renewal and increase (increase of 0.25 mills) for current expenses to raise $414,085 annually.

Mecca Township: A 1.7-mill, 3-year renewal for fire protection to raise $30,508 annually.

Newton Falls Joint Fire District: A 2.5-mill, five-year additional levy for emergency medical service and/or ambulance services to raise $315,468 annually.

Vienna Township: A 1-mill, five-year renewal levy for roads and bridges to raise $87,836 annually.

Warren Township: A 1.5-mill, five-year renewal levy for police protection to raise $148,537 annually.

Howland Schools: A 4.1-mill, 10-year renewal levy for the emergency requirements of the school district to raise $2.5 million annually.

Lakeview Schools: A 4.55-mill bond issue to raise $23,815,000 for a maximum of 37 years to build a new Preschool-to-Grade-8 building on the middle school site, demolish the current middle and elementary schools and upgrade athletic facilities. A 0.5-mill additional continuous levy to raise $131,705 annually.

Lordstown Schools: A 5.5-mill, five-year additional levy for current expenses to raise $540,643 annually.

Mathews Schools: A 7.8-mill, five-year renewal levy for current expenses that would raise $1,153,525 annually.

McDonald Schools: A 4.3-mill, five-year additional levy for permanent improvements to raise $223,913 annually.

Southington Schools: A 3.9-mill, 4-year renewal levy for emergency requirements of the school district to raise $250,000 annually.
