The Mahoning County Farm Bureau and Deerfield Farms are sponsoring a “Lunch and Learn” event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road.
This month’s topic will be “Farm Bill Information for Crop Farmers,” by Chris Zoller and Chris Bruynis of the OSU Extension. They will discuss decision making for farmers and landowners regarding the 2014 Farm Bill, a bill that will give Farm Service Agency farm owners a one-time opportunity to elect their Title 1 crop program for the 2014 through 2018 crop years.
