VIENNA

Applications for sheet metal worker apprenticeships will be accepted at the Builders association, located at 1372 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. from Oct. 6 to 10.

Apprentices would earn a starting hourly wage of $13.07 plus fringe benefits. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, eligible to work in the U.S. and have transportation to and from the job site.

The nonrefundable application fee is $25 — cash only. A basic aptitude test will be administered at the time of application.

2014 Small Business Convention planned

The ninth annual Small Business Convention will take place Oct. 22-24 at Kalahari Resort and Conference Center, 7000 Kalahari Drive.

The conference will be covering several different topic areas, like high performance sales and workplace policies.

The conference, which is co-presented by several of Ohio’s Chambers of Commerce, will host a variety of workshops and keynote speakers throughout the conference.

F.N.B. Corp. finalizes merger with OBA

PITTSBURGH

F.N.B. Corp., parent company of First National Bank, announced that on Sept. 19 it completed its merger with OBA Financial Services, Inc., parent company of OBA Bank.

As a result of the merger, First National Bank will operate a total of 31 banking offices in Maryland.

Before completing the merger, FNB obtained all required legal and regulatory approvals, and OBA shareholders approved the transaction.

Shares of OBA Financial Services Inc. will no longer be traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Chiropractic clinic opens in Boardman

Dr. Jason Hollabaugh announced the opening of his chiropractic office, 1040 South Commons Plaza. Dr. Hollabaugh is using chiropractic adjusting techniques to help provide relief for people suffering from things such as low back pain, neck pain, and headaches.

Dr. Hollabaugh is also promoting chiropractic not only as a safe and effective option for back pain but also as a preventive measure to help improve spinal biomechanics, which is often a cause of musculoskeletal disorders.

Williams to speak at Pa. incubator event

HERMITAGE, PA.

Jay Williams, U.S. assistant secretary of Commerce for Economic Development and former mayor of Youngstown, will be the keynote speaker for “An evening with the eCenter community” event at Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park, 1030 Forker Blvd.

The event features clients of the eCenter@LindenPointe, a business incubator, at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
