Conference in diocese planned Oct. 11 at St. Luke center

YOUNGSTOWN

Every Catholic, age 16 and older, in the Diocese of Youngstown may attend a conference, “Why Are We Empowering the Status Quo,” on Oct. 11 at St. Luke Church banquet center, 5235 South Ave., Boardman.

This day of prayer, process and planning is for pastors, parish ministers, deacons, catechists, evangelization teams, youth ministers, parish staffs, mission teams, parish and finance councils, Catholic organization leaders and all interested in energizing their parish. The conference will explore change and transition at the personal and parish levels.

The program will feature Brother James Zullo, a member of the De La Salle Christian Brothers in the Midwest Province, who is a consulting and clinical psychologist. He will serve as a resource person.

The conference will begin with refreshments at 8:30 a.m., prayer with Bishop George V. Murry at 9 followed by presentations and discussions until 3:30 p.m.

The program has been approved for five General Religious Education Certification hours.
