UPDATE | No change in Traficant's condition, still critical

YOUNGSTOWN — Former U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr. remains in critical condition today while his family waits for “doctors’ reports and results of tests” to come back, says his family’s spokesman.

“We’re just waiting, and we don’t know when the information will be ready,” said Heidi Hanni, an attorney and the family’s spokeswoman.

Traficant’s family remains by his bedside at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Hanni said.

Traficant is unconscious and under sedation, she said.

The former congressman was seriously injured Tuesday night at his 76-acre family farm on West South Range Road in Greenford. The 1943 tractor he was driving roll over backward onto him while he was still in the driver’s seat, trapping him underneath.
