POLICE CALLS

A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Sept. 11

Theft: An employee of Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., Cody Allcorn, 25, of Southeast River Road, Berlin Center, was arrested on a charge of theft.

Sept. 12

Theft: Brian Palmer, 48, of Connecticut Avenue, was arrested on a charge of theft at CVS, 601 E. Main St.

Sept. 18

Warrant: Matthew Lombel, 33, of S. Timberidge Drive, Austintown, was arrested on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant charging him with failure to appear.

AUSTINTOWN

Sept. 15

Domestic violence: John Vath, 37, of Wendover Circle was arrested on a domestic-violence charge at a home in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue. He also was charged with resisting arrest.

Theft: An unlocked vehicle was entered and a purse, television and other contents were stolen in the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: A carton of cigarettes was taken at Walgreens, 3800 Tippecanoe Road.

Drug offense: Joseph Frampton, 24, of Halls Heights Avenue, Youngstown, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

Recovered property: A Giant Eagle Advantage card and gift card were recovered on an empty lot at 6105 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing: Threats were reported at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Identity theft: A resident of the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue had his personal information used to open an account/loan through Check’N Go.

Sept. 16

Criminal trespass: Stone Crank, 18, of Florence Avenue, Youngstown, was issued a summons charging him with criminal trespassing at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Assault: A female was assaulted by another female in the 900 block of Compass West

Drug offense: Matthew Nypaver, 23, of Wyndclift Circle, was issued a summons charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Sept. 17

Theft: An IPad was stolen after being purchased online from California at Four Mile Run Christian Church.

Fraud: There is a suspect in a case of fraud at Wedgewood Condos.

Theft: A carton of cigarettes was taken at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: An ignition key to a semi truck was stolen at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Warrant: Samuel Tush, 20, of Bainbridge Avenue, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Aggravated menacing: Text messages were reported at a home in the 5000 block of North Beacon Drive.

Theft: Lyndsay Marshall, 26, of Wolosyn Circle, Poland, was issued a summons charging him with the theft of $71.62 in merchandise at Walmart.

Disturbance: Juveniles were fighting at Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A package was stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Recovered property: A PS4 controller was recovered at Mahoning Avenue.

Sept.18

Warrant: Solangel Rodriguez, 22, of Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Drug offense: Rocco Bugno, 26, of Penhale Avenue, Campbell, was issued a summons charging him with two counts of drug paraphernalia.

Recovered property: A change purse was recovered in the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: Anthony Kirksey, 44, of Wallace Street Southeast, Warren, was issued a summons charging him with theft of a photo disc valued at $13.88 at Walmart.

Lost or stolen property: A men’s wallet was reported lost or stolen at Infocision, 5746 interstate Blvd.

Sept. 19

Breaking and entering: $1,700 in cash was stolen at Drywall Barn, 408 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: A red mountain bike was reported stolen at a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Jordan Shaughnessy, 18, of Dunbar Street, was issued two summons, charging him with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipes were stolen at a home in the 3000 block of Maple Springs Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A woman was threatened by a male at apartments in the 900 block of Compass West.

Sept. 20

Disorderly conduct: Maurice Kennedy, 43, Bott Street, and Allison Whittaker, 43, of East Boston Avenue, both of Youngstown, were both charged with disorderly conduct.

Burglary: A television, stereo, DVD player and shoes were taken at a home in the 800 block of Compass West.

Theft: A tire cover was stolen from an auto in the 200 block of Third Street.

Warrant: Robert Watson, 23, of S. Main St. was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a parole violation.

Warrant: Erin Bocen, 44, of New Waterford, was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a complicity charge.

Warrant: Laura Parsons, 28, of Cable Line Road, Diamond, was arrested on a Trumbull County warrant.

Domestic violence: Antoine Davis, 19, Ohltown Road, was issued two summons, charging him with domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Nicholas Roberts, 24, of Westchester Drive was issued a summons charging him with drug abuse of marijuana.

Drug offense: Jerry Young, 56, of Glacierview Drive, Youngstown, was issued a summons charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Brandon Harrison, 18, of Glenview Road, Canfield, was issued a summons charging him with possession of a marijuana grinder.

Sept. 21

Theft: Amber Carpenter, 33, of Main Street, was arrested and charged with the theft of $16.10 worth of household cleaning products from Walmart and also was charged with drug abuse for having suspected marijuana and pills in her possession.

Disorderly conduct: Paul Schmidt, 27, of Rosemont Avenue, was issued a summons charging him with disorderly conduct.

Theft: A male drove off after pumping $5 worth of gas at GetGo, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Carlos Jusino, 25, of Westchester Drive was arrested and charged with theft of $86.79 in merchandise at Walmart, and drug abuse and Shawntae Robinson, 22, of Westchester Drive, was arrested and charged with theft and possession of criminal tools.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipes were removed at a home in the 100 block of Howard Avenue.
