YBI receives $3 million to renovate old Vindicator building

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Business Incubator received $3 million from the U.S Economic Development Administration today to renovate the original Vindicator office building.

YBI, which owns four buildings, will expand its focus on additive manufacturing and business-to-business software.

The cost of the project to renovate the building on the corner of Vindicator Square and West Boardman Street is $5 million. The organization also received $1.5 million from the Ohio Capital Appropriations budget and $500,000 from the City of Youngstown to renovate the building.

The Vindicator owns a newer building on the corner of Vindicator Square and West Front Street, which is the current location for its newsroom, printing press and loading docks.
