United was led by Mariah Eisenbraum with one ace and 10 kills, as well as Shelby Mix’s seven aces, seven kills and five blocks in a straight-set win. Claudia Rockhold added two aces, eight kills and two blocks for the Eagles (5-11). Abby Smalley had one ace and nine kills, while Anna Sevec had seven kills and one block for the Indians (10-5).

Amber McMillan led Boardman with 18 points and six aces. Hope Landers paced the offensive attack with 18 kills, while Krista Johnson added 14 of her own. Katie Platt added 42 assists, while Courtney Platt added 28 digs for the Spartans (9-5). The Tigers (7-8) were lead by Christian Carr with 28 kills, Lexi Miner 28 assists and Cassie Marko’s 12 points.

Senior Dustin Hajnosz and sophomore Garrett Behner each had two goals and an assist for Lordstown (8-1-2), which led 4-0 through the 70th minute of a Northeastern Athletic Conference match. Senior Federico Colombo also had an assist and freshman Michael Crites had three saves in his first game of the season. Tommy Rink, Ethan Hunter and Dante Silver each had a goal for the Rockets.
