Man charged in altercation in Warren

WARREN

Jeffery E. Allen, 18, of Scott Street Northeast was charged Tuesday with five counts of felonious assault in a 7:50 p.m. Monday incident on Fairfield Street Northeast in which witnesses said he tried to hit them with a car.

Police determined two women argued about one of them videotaping the other one on a cellphone. The fight escalated with other people becoming involved.

One of the other people was Allen, who is a friend of one of the women.

Witnesses told police that after the fight was seemingly over, the man pulled his car out of the driveway at the Fairfield home and tried to run into five women.

None of the women was hit, and the car stopped against a curb.

Police arrested Allen and took him to the Trumbull County jail.

He is expected to be arraigned today in Warren Municipal Court.

One female was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for injuries suffered in the fight.
