Campbell police arrest man for breaking into building
CAMPBELL — City police arrested a 43-year-old man on charges of breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools, trespassing and resisting arrest early Sunday, after reports of a someone behind an apartment building in the 3800 block of Murray Avenue.
The man, identified as Bryant Keith Wills, was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown for treatment following his arrest; he had cuts and lacerations on his face and hands.
Police responded to the area shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, and immediately heard the sounds of breaking glass, which turned out to be from the rear kitchen window of a vacant apartment. Wills, who police say appeared to be highly intoxicated, was spotted inside the apartment in question.
He refused to come outside of the apartment, so police entered. Wills continued to ignore officers' commands, but was eventually arrested and put in two pairs of handcuffs.
Wills is set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
