iPad classes offered in Oct. at JCC

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will be offering an iPad 101 course, a beginner’s class, and an iPad 102 course, for those with basic knowledge of their iPad, both beginning in October.

The iPad 101 course is an interactive beginner’s class that will teach the basic tools needed to use an iPad or tablet to its fullest potential.

Participants will learn to set up an email and App store account, how to use the App store and how to organize your applications. No previous iPad experience is required. The beginner’s courses will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27 in the JCC board room.

The iPad 102 is for those with a basic knowledge of their tablet, but who want to learn more. The course will have instruction on photo organization and syncing an iPad with an iPhone or iTunes, using programs such as Drop Box, and using an iPad to stay in touch with family and friends. The iPad 102 classes are planned for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays from Oct. 23 to Nov. 13 in the JCC board room.

The cost for either class is $45 for JCC members and $55 for nonmembers, and minimum class sizes will be four and a maximum of eight.
