Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gatchell
POLAND
Paul and Carole Gatchell of Poland, formerly of Boardman, were honored for their 60th anniversary with a dinner party Sept. 13 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park. It was hosted by their children Debbie (Tom) Bierdeman of Poland and Paula Marco of Boardman. They also have five grandchildren, Ryan, Brandan and Zac Bierdeman and Jimmy and Alexa Marco.
Mr. Gatchell married the former Carole Roberts on Sept. 11, 1954, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Youngstown.
The couple are members of Pleasant Grove United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Gatchell retired as a sales clerk for The Clothes Tree in Boardman. She is a member of Sweet Adelines and a barbershop quartet.
Mr. Gatchell retired as a supervisor from Western and Southern Life Insurance in Youngstown. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and served overseas for three years during the Korean War.
