Austintown police arrest man on drug charge

AUSTINTOWN

Police arrested Rocco Bugno, 28, of Campbell on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia just after midnight Thursday. Police noticed a parked Pontiac in the Shotz parking lot and the female passenger was crying. Police asked what the problem was and Bugno, the driver, said they were having car problems. Police suspected a narcotic odor coming from inside the vehicle, so they asked Bugno and the passenger to exit.

Police found a syringe and a metal spoon inside. Bugno was arrested and taken to the police department. He was issued a court date of 1 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Mahoning County Court in Austintown.
