YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested two people on weapons charges after police responded to a fight call on the North Side about 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers were called to a home on Elm Street for reports that two men were arguing with another man, and one of them had a gun. When they arrived, witnesses told police a man on the sidewalk had a gun on him and put it into a car.
When officers checked the car, they found Denise Robinson, 23, of Trail Edge Drive, Hubbard, talking on two cellphones in the backseat and she had a handgun on her lap, reports said. Witnesses then said a man on the sidewalk, 23-year-old Justin Patterson of Upland Avenue, had the gun originally.
Patterson faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon and was taken to the Mahoning County jail. Robinson, also taken to jail, faces a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
