ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Dec. 6 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave. Youngstown. After the business meeting, there will be a reading of “The Empty Hook” by local author Joe Dragovich. Autographed copies of the book will be for sale. Sylvia Shirilla will sing Christmas carols, and a $15 holiday lunch will be served by Park Vista. There will be a new item auction. For information call 330-702-0567.

Girard High School Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will have its Christmas dinner Dec. 10 at Caffe Capri in Boardman. The classes of 1950 and 1952 are welcome. Reservations are due as soon as possible. CLUBS

Kent State University Mothers will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a Christmas party at Trotters Chase, 695 E. Western Reserve Road, Building No. 300 in Poland. Poland Center Homemakers will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bob Evans restaurant.

LEAGUES

Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League will have a Christmas social Monday at Michael Alberini’s, 1140 Boardman-Poland Road in Boardman. Cocktails will begin at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7. Members are reminded to take items from Animal Charity’s wish list and/or a monetary donation. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Poland Library will meet Tuesday. The program will be given by Thomas Welsh, who will speak on “Classic Restaurants of Youngstown.” Hostesses are June Deeley, Louise Martinko, Mary Jane Pavelko and Peg Shirey. Coffee hour is at 9:30 a.m. Meetings are open to the public, and new members are welcome. Donations of books, magazines, CD’s and DVD’s for the book cart are accepted at all meetings. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Aglow International Alliance Area Lighthouse will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St., Alliance. Lucy Leija, an evangelist and missionary, will speak. A donation of $3 is requested. Take snacks or finger foods to share.

Diocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will meet for the monthly Mass at Dec. 10 at St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, Austintown, with the rosary at 8:30 a.m. and Mass at 9. A Christmas party will follow; the cost is $18 and reservations are due by Monday.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the hall, 122 N. State St.

Junior Seton Circle will have its monthly meeting followed by a luncheon at noon Dec. 11 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The program will be presented by Sister Gay Rowzie.

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: Tuesdays, Dec. 2 and 9, dance classes at Judy Conti’s in Austintown, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, walking at Southern Park Mall, meet at food court, 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, new-member meeting at the church, 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 5, lobby of Movies 8 in Shops at Boardman Park, 6:30 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet on 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 Main St., Greenville, Pa.; at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 855 Howland-Wilson Road, Howland; and at noon Dec. 6 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 W.
