Holiday fundraisers benefit Angels for Animals

CANFIELD

Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, has planned three holiday fundraisers with proceeds to benefit the shelter.

The 11th annual Thanksgiving bake sale will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Frozen double-crust apple pie and Dutch crust apple are $10, baked double crust apple and Dutch crust apple are $11 and pumpkin pies are $8. Other treats are buckeyes, clothespin cookies and pizzelles, all $6 per dozen.

Baked goods will be available at the shelter as well as Handels Ice Cream, 4800 Mahoning Ave., Austintown; Handels Ice Cream, South Avenue (in front of the old Sam’s Club) in Boardman; and Texas Oil Change, 2345 E. State St., Salem.

Curb service is offered. For orders of five pies or more, delivery is available by calling 330-720-1153 or 330-398-9551.

Volunteers from Angels for Animals will be at Barnes & Noble booksellers, 381 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman, to offer free holiday gift-wrapping services from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Donations are appreciated.

A holiday open house during the decorations and antique sale is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 in the shelter. There will be a basket auction with a variety of items and gift cards from local businesses and restaurants.

Lunch will be available; homemade baked goods will be sold.

Proceeds will benefit the Valentine Fund, which is dedicated to help animals that need special eye care.

From noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 13, there will be a Santa’s workshop. Photos with Santa with children and pets are $10.

There also will be a face painter. A cookie showcase will feature a dozen cookies for $6 including a container and $5 if you take your own container.

A holiday decorations, antiques, collectibles and jewelry sale clearance will be from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 14 at Andrews Hall.
