Campbell police make 2 drug-related arrests

Police made two drug-related arrests over the weekend. Police arrested Eric Hartman, 19, of Youngstown at midnight Saturday on charges of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police conducted a traffic stop on McCartney Road for a vehicle with no rear license plates.

Police suspected there were drugs in the vehicle, so both Hartman and his passenger let police search the vehicle. Police reported Hartman possessed 3 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and several plastic bags. Hartman was arrested and issued a court date of 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police also arrested Tristan Speis, 23, of Campbell at 10 p.m. Friday on charges of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police conducted a traffic stop for Speis' obstructing his line of vision in the car.

Police smelled marijuana and asked Speis and his passenger to exit the vehicle. Police reported they found a bag with 8 grams of marijuana.

Speis was arrested and was issued a court date for 9 a.m. Tuesday.
