McDonald girls win first state cross country title

The McDonald High girls cross country team won the first state title in school history, edging Sugarcreek Garaway by tiebreaker in Saturday's Division III meet.

Both teams finished with 113 points, so the title was decided by each team's sixth runner.

McDonald girls won the D3 track title in June.
