Lawrence Co. treasurer to mail notices to those who haven't paid property taxes

NEW CASTLE, PA. — The Lawrence County Treasurer’s office will mail county tax reminder notices to the taxpayers that have not paid their 2014 county property taxes.

If the notice is received in error, contact the treasurer’s office at 724-656-2124.

Any property tax payments not received in the office or postmarked by Dec. 31 will be filed with the Tax Claim Bureau and the property owner will incur additional costs.

No personal checks will be accepted after Dec. 15 for the current year taxes; only cash, money orders, certified bank checks or credit cards.

A third-party convenience fee (2.45 percent) for all credit-card transactions will be applied.
