Friday, May 30, 2014

CAMPBELL — Police arrested a 17-year-old male resident of the 100 block of Courtland Avenue for criminal trespass at Campbell Memorial High School on Sixth Street.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday, officers en route to the high school in reference to an issue there spotted the boy walking around and on school property. Both officers were familiar with him, due to numerous documented criminal and school-related incidents, according to the police report. They later confirmed he had been expelled and was not permitted on school property.

The Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center denied taking the boy into their facility, and he was released to his mother. The justice center will handle his case and will set up an initial court appearance.
